Stewarding Our Joys & Talents Curriculum

$40.00

Stewarding our Joys & Talents is a four-part, interactive curriculum designed to help individuals and communities discover their unique gifts, talents, and joys and, in so doing, reimagine ways to use them in their community.

By focusing on a strengths-based and joy-based model of serving, this curriculum is a great way to energize your members’ engagement in your church or community. We are more inclined to serve when we serve in accordance with our natural gifts, joys, and talents. At the core, this curriculum is not only practical, but theologically rich: together, you will celebrate the God who is the instiller of our gifts. This series includes small group conversation, leader instruction, and creative visual cues. Downloadable product comes with a Leader’s Introduction & Facilitation Guide for each session, Participant Packets, Retreat Slides (useful if you choose not to print Participant Packets), and a social media graphic.

Description

Parker Palmer writes, “What a long time it can take to become the person one has always been!” Palmer is pointing to the challenge of living into our gifts and who God has made each of us to be. Acknowledging our gifts is not automatic; recognizing what activities bring us joy is not always instinctive. This takes  discernment, prayerful reflection, and attentive facilitation from a leader to help people discover their gifts and meaningful ways to use them. This curriculum is both theologically rich and deeply practical: your community will not only remember their own giftedness but rekindle their desire to serve your church or community through those gifts. Indeed, communities thrive when members serve in accordance with their gifts and — in so doing — honor the God who instilled them.
